This trail is under a mile, offering the perfect short hike with rewarding views.

2. Tillamook Head Hike

Tillamook Head is accessible from the south end of Seaside at the top end of Sunset Boulevard. This six-mile trail follows the route used during the Lewis and Clark Expedition. The hike will take you through a coastal rainforest until you reach the thousand-foot cliff of Tillamook Head. From here, you will be rewarded with scenic views of craggy islands, the ocean, and a historic lighthouse.

3. Neahkahnie Mountain South Trailhead

Neahkahnie Mountain offers two beautiful Oregon Coast hikes within Oswald State Park. The South trailhead offers a 2.5-mile loop winding up the mountain through meadows blooming with wildflowers and Sitka spruce forests. The trail ends with epic views of Nehalem Bay, Manzanita, and Cape Lookout.

4. Fort to Sea Trail

The Fort to Sea Trail is located within Lewis and Clark National Historical Park, just south of Fort Clatsop. This 13-mile hike offers a variety of landscapes, from forests to muddy bogs and the windswept sand of Sunset Beach. 

5. Saddle Mountain Trail

Saddle Mountain Trail is a 2.5-mile challenging hike that climbs over 1,600 feet. The trail zigzags past meadows of wildflowers, old-growth forests, and grassy slopes. The trek ends with rewarding views of the Pacific shoreline, Cascade Mountains, and the Columbia River.
