Painted Rock Beach in Seaside, Oregon

Today we will head south on the Seaside Oregon Promenade for our nice morning walk… The first stop is the painted rock beach in Seaside, Oregon. Located 1.1 miles south from the oceanfront hotel in Seaside, the Seashore Inn… on the Beach. I painted a rock in the hotels lobby before I left and have a plan to add my art to this neat little spot. Hundreds upon hundreds of painted rocks left by people from all over the world! What an incredible sight to see and how special to be able to leave a new rock each time we come to Seaside, Oregon.

On our way back to the hotel we stopped at a must see attraction! The Lewis and Clark Salt Cairn. An amazing part of Oregon Coast history! 5 Kettles a day burning 24 hours kept them with adequate salt to preserve their meats and ability to add some seasoning also. Stop by and check out this out!
