History of the Prom near Our Seaside Hotel

It initially started as a wooden boardwalk connected to a pier that stretched from the Moore Hotel straight out into the sea and was called the Pacific Pier. Unfortunately, due to turbulent winter storms, it was torn apart and only lasted a few years. Eventually, it was decided to build a studier walkway with a concrete turnaround. Upon completion of the new and improved 1.5-mile boardwalk, Seaside saw a boom in tourism, and it hasn’t looked back.
